Do It Any Way You Wanna, P.Skillz Edit

Here's a quick edit I did the other day of Cashmere's Do It Any Way You Wanna. I have always loved the track, but don't like the way the track starts, as it's difficult to mix in. The instrumental starts better, so I chopped the start off the instrumental & put it as the start of the vocal version, so that it is better to mix in. Anyway enjoy the track & I will be posting quite a lot more over the next few days as I have not been able to over the last few weeks & I have bought loads of great records. I should be able to drop some mixes also in the next few days & I have bought my mic, so that I can start my podcasts. I should drop a podcast in the next week or so. Happy new year to everyone who goes on my site. Thanks to everyone who leaves feedback, it's OK if you don't just enjoy the music.

Here Comes The Polyphase

A few people have said they like the first track on my Boogie Mix. The track is called Polyphase by Aaron Broomfield & I think that the track is amazing, a pure 80's Funk banger. Below is a link to a clip, on youtube, of him performing the song. You have to love this.

Quick Boogie Mix

Here's a quick mix I did the other day with mostly records I have just bought. It's all pretty much good 80's Boogie shit. Again none of the mixes were planned or anything. I will put out some proper mixes soon, but in the mean time I will post some of these type of quick mixes just to share some of the music I am listening to.

As per my last post, I am only going to be able to put out limited posts over the next few weeks, but I will try to post something as much as I can. Thanks to all that do leave comments or feedback but there are still loads of people who don't bother. I haven't had time to do tracklists but I can let people know tracks if they email me. It may take me a few days to get back to you though.

I wanna F*** an R&B Bitch

Here's a quick post of a couple of dope Hip Hop tracks. The first is "Dreams" by Biggie, one of the best MC's who has ever lived. He did some shit commercial tracks, but he is still one of the illest MC's ever in my book. I love the early footage of him battling on street corners for money. This is just a funny track talking about his dreams of F**king an R&B bitch, surely every man's goal. Enjoy this shit.

P.S. I may stop posting soon. I'm not sure I can justify spending my time doing this shit, when most people leave no comments. There are plenty of people downloading shit off this site by not many who leave any feedback.

Any way the other track is "International Zone Coaster" by Leaders of the New School. This is the good mix off the 12', don't bother with the LP version as it is shit. LOTNS are another of my favourite Hip Hop crews, Busta has gone on to world domination, what happened to Charlie Brown? I have a nice freestyle by these guys which I may post.

P.Skillz Electro Funk Mix

Here's a quick mix I knocked out today. It's a bit ruff in places but I can't be bothered to re do it. It's 80's Electro Funk type shit. I'm putting an 80's Boogie mix together, which I will post soon, along with a Hip Hop mix. I'm also thinking of starting some radio station type podcasts, with guest DJ's, so look out for that. Anyways check my mix out.

Active Force

I am going to post some soulful 80's Boogie this evening & I thought that I would start with Active Force's "Give Me Your Love". This is a quality groove from 1983 & in my opinion an all time classic. I absolutely love this track & so should you. Get your hair permed, get your shoulder pads in & get your groove on! Blast it in your Ford Cortina. Enjoy.

Candye P.Skillz Edit

Here is a quick edit I made tonight. I basically chopped the drums, guitar & vocal sample of "Talk to me" then replayed it to extend the intro & outro so this would be easier to mix when DJing. I have not changed the track much, just extended it really. It's quite nice to post an edit you have literally just finished this minute. The original is "Talk to Me" by Candye. I have just paid $50 for the LP off ebay, but there are 3 killer cuts & it's quite hard to pick up. I'm really into 80's funk/boogie played on synths at the minute so love this type of shit. This was produced by Kevin McCord, who was in One Way, who made some classic tracks also such as "Pop What You Got". Enjoy.
